Vision:
The vision of New Projects is to function as a centre for advice and engineering services for new construction, re-construction and (large) maintenance, with as the main objective the effective and efficient realization of projects.

Mission:
The mission of New Projects consists of advising and developing and realizing diverse building-, utility and civil technical projects on a highly qualified level on behalf of the country.

Organizational objectives:
• To provide  a high quality level of public service  with regard to technical matters;
• To promote the realization and maintenance of the physical infrastructure and related facilities.
• To prepare timely and precise tasks for diverse building-, utility- and civil technical projects for St. Maarten.

Main tasks:
• To develop and advise about technical policy frameworks in the area of underground infrastructure, drainage facilities, building-, utility- and civil technical projects;
• The preparation, execution and transfer of building-, utility- and civil technical projects;
• To safeguard policy in the area of civil- and building-technical areas of the ministry;
• To contribute points of consideration and ensure policy and legislation in the area of civil- and building-technical areas.
• The initiation, preparation, execution and transfer of building-, utility- and civil technical (improvement) projects;
• To care for the construction of new buildingsand installations belonging to the government of Sint Maarten.
• To care for the execution and coordination of projects aimed at urban renewal.
