- Inclusion of children in passports abolished

The Cabinet of the Governor of Sint Maarten and the Department of Civil Registry hereby makes the following announcement.

Inclusion of children in passports abolished

With effect from 26 June 2012 it will no longer be possible to include children in Dutch passports, refugee travel documents or aliens travel documents. Existing inclusions will also lose their validity on that date. The measure is due to the implementing of a European Legislation into the Passports Act coming into force.

Any questions?
More information can be found in the information leaflet “Inclusion of children in passports and other travel documents to be abolished with effect from 26 June 2012” which can be downloaded at www.kabgsxm.com (under “Consular Affairs”, “Consular News”) or at the Government’s website www.sintmaartengov.org  (under:  “WHAT’S NEW” tab). If you have any questions you can contact the Cabinet of the Governor or the Department of Civil Registry at Tel. 542-2457.
