It is with great pride that Division Public Education and the Management Teams and teachers of the Primary Level Public Schools’ host their 8th Annual , Pre-St. Maarten Day 2019, Program and Parade.
This year the Pre-St. Maarten Day Program starts with an Invitational Ceremony on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 , where several “Pioneers of the Public Education System on St. Maarten”, will be celebrated.
The Marie Genevieve de Weever School (MGDWS) is this year task with organizing this prestigious Program and Parade. A committee consisting of representatives of all the participating schools in collaboration with the music teachers and the Physical Education teachers under leadership of the MGDW School Manager, Mrs. Grantham-Halley are the key players.
The second part of the program will take place on Friday morning , November 8th, 2019 , at the L.B.Scott, Sports Auditorium. There students will get the opportunity to celebrate St. Maarten Day, by given renditions in song, poetry, dances, musical presentations and others forms of entertainment for their fellow students and the pioneers of the Public education system.
The main objective of this program is to foster love and unity in the hearts of the students for their island St. Maarten by coming together and working together in harmony. It has been and continue to be my sincere hope that the program will have an everlasting impact on the lives of the Public Schools’ students. A special invitation is extended to all parents and supporters to come out and support our Pre- St. Maarten Day program and cheer the students on as they showcase their talents and proudly participate in this year 8th parade in their red , white and blue T-Shirts.
