The Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor, Omar Ottley is committed to creating a balance between flexibility, job security and curbing the misuse of short-term contracts. In order to do so, it is imperative that data be gathered to support possible amendments to legislation to prevent the issues arising from the use of successive fixed-term employment contracts and investigate the possibilities for more flexibility within the dismissal law.
