The Student Support Services Division (SSSD) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport is organizing an interactive and informative workshop entitled, "We can work it out: How to resolve conflicts and teach your child conflict resolution skills.’’ The general public, especially parents of primary and secondary school going children, are invited to attend.
Parents and other interested persons are encouraged to come out to this workshop which will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at the University of St. Martin from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
With the many types of conflict that occur in our every-day lives (school, work, home etc.), this workshop aims to educate and empower parents, teachers, and the general public on learning and teaching the vital skill of resolving conflicts rather than prolonging, escalating or having problems go unresolved.
The Student Support Services Division (SSSD) provides services to students referred by various schools on St. Maarten. These services include psychological services, counseling services, social work services, speech language pathology services, educational diagnostic services, crisis intervention etc. SSSD also provides career services and parent education/information sessions.
