The Sint Maarten Tax Administration came into existence on October 10, 2010 when Sint Maarten became a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. We are an administrative organization and are officially named Tax Administration Sint Maarten.
 
Vision
The Sint Maarten Tax Administration, in collaboration with other government departments, ensures the efficient and effective execution of the tasks assigned to it. The levying, checking and collection will take place in a lawful, fair and equal manner.
 
Mission
The Sint Maarten Tax Administration will implement the laws and regulations for the levying, collection and auditing of taxes with the aim of attaining stable and growing tax revenues in an extremely efficient, effective, customer-oriented and honest manner.
We want to achieve this by optimizing work processes, procedures and systems. We want to invest in our employees and communicate proactively, reliably and transparently with taxpayers.
 
Objectives of the Tax Administration:

  • Promoting and increasing compliance with taxpayers;
  • Ensure structural income for the Government;
  • Increase and optimize tax revenues;
  • Ensure an honest, professional and reliable Tax Administration;

  • Preventing competition distortion and fraud;
  • Collaborate with other government organizations;
  • Promoting stakeholder satisfaction;
