PASSPORT (MINOR)

Do you have a registered minor that has DUTCH NATIONALITY in the basic administration of Government and would like to apply for a passport? If yes, then you need to apply at the Civil Registry Department. The following documents and fees are required to begin the application process.

A Dutch passport is a document, issued by a the Dutch kingdom government, which certifies the identity and nationality of its holder for the purpose of international travel. The elements of identity contained in all standardized biometric passports include information about the holder, including name, date of birth, gender and place of birth, the validity of document.

Appearance Requirements

Applicant must be present with legal guardian in possession of valid identification card issued on Dutch Sint Maarten or valid passportt must be present

Document Requirements
-         Applicant must be present
-         All travel documents issued to applicant
-         Applicant must be accompanied by both parents if they are married.
       • If parents are unmarried, the mother must accompany the applicant.
       •  If a minor is under the custody of both parents and/or a legal guardian, appointed by the Court of First Instance  the minor must be accompanied by both parents and or legal guardian.
      •  Parent(s) and/or legal Guardian(s) must present a valid identification card issued in Sint Maarten or valid passport.
-         A recent passport picture not older than six (6) months
-         Legalized and translated birth certificate (if applicable)
-         Kingdom decree (if applicable)

-         Picture must meet the following criteria for Dutch passports:
In color Light grey, pale blue• No merging of colors• Sufficient contrast between head and background• A true likeness• Undamaged• Head uncovered• Face entirely visible• Eyes entirely visible• Head facing forward• Neutral facial expression• Mouth closed• No shadow• Not a reproduction (copy).

-         In some instances, additional information may be requested from applicant in order to
           proceed with application
-         This service may only be provided at the Philipsburg location
-         Passport for minors (age 0-17) will be valid for 5 years
